Description

Bold Matcha earns its name in the cup.

Sourced from Shizuoka, Japan, Bold is a dark green, full-bodied matcha with deep umami, tea-forward richness, and a smooth, pleasant bitterness that gives it character.

With milk, it becomes a rich, satisfying matcha latte. Smooth, bold, and strong enough to stand up to the creaminess without getting lost.

With water, it becomes a refreshing iced matcha americano with clarity, depth, and a clean finish.

Deeply green, savory, slightly nutty, and beautifully complex, Bold carries the unmistakable character of Shizuoka tea.

This is matcha for people who love matcha.

Why We Chose It

Most matcha made for lattes either tastes flat, too bitter, or disappears under milk. Bold Matcha does the opposite.

It has the depth to stand up to milk, the balance to drink with water, and the complexity to feel special every time you make it.

Rich without being harsh. Strong without being overwhelming. Smooth without being boring.

Ingredients

100% matcha green tea powder, Made in Japan – No sugar, non-GMO, and free from additives.

Storage

Store in a cool and dark place place, ensuring that matcha is not exposed to direct sunlight, or strong light, not in high temperature or humidity.

For best results, put sealed and opened pouches in the refrigerator or freezer while not in use.

Servings - More Matcha In Every Pouch

A Note on Fairness...

The Artisan Collection

Matcha made for purpose, sourced for consistency

We don’t single-source our Artisan Collection and that’s by design.

Instead, we work with trusted producers across Japan’s top tea-growing regions — Uji, Kagoshima, Yame, Nishio, Shizuoka, and Shimane, selecting only the best lots available to suit each product’s intended use.

Whether it’s a smooth latte, a balanced daily matcha, a bold shot, or a culinary creation, each matcha is made from a proprietary blend of cultivars to ensure reliable flavor, performance, and balance, every time.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

How do I know Zenbumi is really better than other matcha?

Honestly? You won’t, not until you try it.

We’re not here to compete with other brands (some of them are doing great work). But we are here to do things differently. We source directly from Japan, curate our offerings carefully, and treat every product, even our most affordable, with the kind of care usually reserved for limited editions.

That said, matcha is personal. What matters most is how it tastes and how you feel when you drink it, not what we claim.

So try it. If it doesn’t move you, the Sakina Guarantee has your back. No pressure, just peace of mind.

How should I choose the right matcha?

Check out our Buyer’s Guide below. Whether you're drinking it straight, blending with milk, or baking — we’ve made it easy to find your match(a).

Zenbumi Matcha Buyers Guide

Why don’t you offer 30g tins like everyone else?

Because we want you to actually enjoy your matcha— not ration it. Our pouches give you more value, more room to explore, and less pressure with every scoop. It’s the sweet spot between everyday use and premium sourcing.

How does Zenbumi compare to other premium Japanese matcha brands?

We source from some of the same top-tier producers across Japan, the kind that supply matcha to Japan’s most celebrated names. The difference? We’re not locked into one family or factory. Instead, we work closely with expert blenders and producers to craft proprietary blends that emphasize balance, flavor, and feeling.

Are all your matcha blends?

Yes, we choose blended cultivars like Yabukita, Okumidori, and Saemidori for consistency and flavor precision. In our Kaizen Collection, you’ll also find rare cultivars like Gokou, Asahi, and Ujihikari. If a single-cultivar matcha meets our standards in the future, we may include it, but never just for show.

Is this really ceremonial grade?

Yes, with the exception of The Maker Matcha which is culinary grade. The Kaizen Collection includes matcha fit for competition, made with rare cultivars and aged tencha.

What if I don’t like it?

Try it. Love it. Or it’s on us — that’s the Sakina Guarantee. If you're unsatisfied, we’ll issue a refund. Still not happy? We’ll even buy your next matcha from a brand you trust.

Do you sell the tools to make matcha?

Yes, we do. Starting with our curated collection of handmade ceramics.

Each piece is chosen for its form, function, and quiet beauty. While our toolkit is intentionally limited for now, more essentials are coming soon.

Just what you need to enjoy your matcha, beautifully.
